Sunday October 23rd, 2 pm.  WILD WOODWINDS at OCCIDENTAL COLLEGE,  Bird Studio, 1600 Campus Road
Los Angeles, CA 90041

First there was Catherine of Aragon and Catherine the Great, but they don't hold a candle to our own Hollywood Bowl English horn/oboist Catherine Del Russo and "Brooklyn's First Lady of Flute", Katherine Fink, who premiered my Flute Concertino in NYC in March, and who will play a new chamber work of mine here. Catherine and Katherine, along with stellar vocalist Teri Koide and percussionist Bernie Dresel will be featured in an unusual song cycle "Bzzz" with music by yours truly, as well as words and music by Andi Davis and Wendy All. Also, a premiere by Occidental's own Andre Meyer for flute and oboe, and
more unusual items  with a guest appearance by L.A.'s Grande Bambino of the Bamboo Flute (and 639 other flutes) Steve Kujala.

In July, Bevan served as director of the new Jazz Program at Quartz Mountain Music Festival in Oklahoma, performing, teaching, and having his works performed.

Bevan performed with the ALEX ILES QUINTET at Vitello's at 8 pm on July 13th, 2011.
Alex is a fabulous trombonist, a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and quite the
